The new shopping mall Dolce Vita Coruña has been built in one of the most important areas of the Spanish city of A Coruña: La Grela industrial park. Stretching over 62,000 sqm, La Grela aims to become the largest commercial area in A Coruña.

The shopping mall consists of two under ground floors, ground and upper floors and a metal roof that shall include a number of skylights both over central circulation areas and urban spaces. The floor slab typology consists of a varying thickness solid slab generally resting on a column grid.

The area on the supermarket, with a 8 x 16 m grid, consists of slightly suspended beams on the long span. Finally, as usual in this type of shopping malls, the roof presenting the most complex geometries and spanning the longest distances consists of a metal structure.
